I just wanted to say that for the first time, I identified very strongly with the emotions and feelings expressed in a book. I had felt a similar, though not as strong, urge to create pictures and art, but I didn't know how or why. Now I can let go of structure more easily, and paint or draw whatever comes to mind. My favorites of your work are the portraits modeled with layers of crosshatching, they emerge from the paper with such form, yet so subtle. I do have a question, are they oil crayons on paper? Are they large or small? I'm am so interested & just trying to get an idea of the scale. Img 5895 5913-5915 & 5905 are my favorites. I'm in Buffalo, NY. Thank you for sharing your story.
